Our Story
Slonny’s story begins in October 2009 when Janika Mölder, world champion in rhythmic gymnastics and promoter of the sport and Kaupo Kallemaa, entrepreneur, were on a visit to Hong Kong. The goal of their trip was to find suitable fabrics for making uniform training and competition apparel for gymnasts. However, they were inspired by the colourful fabric markets in Hong Kong to such an extent that they decided to create a new brand of sports apparel.
Janika, a former elite gymnast who is currently working as a coach, has a clear idea of what gymnasts need.The goal is to create comfortable, stylish and functional apparel.
Interest in SLONNY® products has seen a steady increase since the founding of the brand. Gymnasts in Europe as well as North America train in Slonny outfits. Also, Slonny produces a collection bearing the emblem of the renowned rhythmic gymnastics tournament Miss Valentine.
